Atlanta, GA – In 2009, there were 331 DUI fatalities on Georgia roads and highways.  For the past 8 years, the Governor’s Office on Highway Safety has teamed up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving – Georgia (MADD-GA) to celebrate law enforcement officers and agencies, DUI prosecutors, and community leaders for abating DUI crashes and fatalities, innovation in detecting, investigating, and prosecuting impaired drivers, and deterring our youth from underage drinking.  Over 500 individuals and organizations were nominated for outstanding service in communities throughout the state of Georgia for the 8th Annual Golden Shield Honors. Behave will be producing the awards show.  More information to come!
